Family photography sessions are SO. MUCH. FUN. I like to keep it low stress by providing a mixture of poses and prompts that bring out a wealth of giggles and goofs.

Erica reached out to book a family photography session in November and MAN did we get lucky. The prior week was nothing but that doomy gloomy cold. By the time Erica’s shoot rolled around the following week, I was happy to note that I’d never experienced such a beautiful November evening. The sun showed out, and Erica and her family certainly did as well.

As you can see in the image above, two members of this family are certified smöl. June and Teddy brought so much spunk. I was living my best life, camera in hand, squeaking a small dog toy right over my camera’s lens. Dreams really do come true.

I was sure to snag a few shots with our smöl friends as the focus. How could I not?

And, of course, what’s a family photoshoot without pulling mom & dad off to the side to take a few shots without the kids?

Point being, whether your children are literal humans or fur babies—Liv Strange Photography can capture your family in a way that conveys that feeling one gets from the simple joys of every day life with the ones you love. Thanks for reading!
