When this senior approached me looking for a portrait photographer, she told me she wanted non-traditional senior photos. None of those “holding random sport object” or “why are we standing in a pond” pics. I knew immediately that we'd be a good fit.

We held a meeting to discuss her personality and style and I began gathering inspiration for our portrait photography session.

The day of our shoot was overcast and very cold. This senior was an absolute trooper. We were sure to have her throw on a coat to warm up between shots.

Due to the overcast skies, blue hour approached rather quickly. We made the best of it and added some diversity to her gallery by including photos taken in both golden hour and blue hour.

With graduation invites going out in the spring, her and her mom wondered if I could include a few summery versions of our November session. Absolutely! I am always up for a creative challenge.

I was sure to include black and white versions as well.

I’ve had so much fun with this project and love how versatile the final gallery is. Thanks for checking out my latest work!
