Missouri Winter Engagement Photography Session
As I sit in my chilly midwest home watching the snow pile up in the yards just beyond my window, I can’t help but reminisce about Liv Strange Photography’s recent snowy engagement photography session.
I've been loving documentary style photography lately and have been incorporating more action based posing into photography sessions. This is especially great for couples photography as the prompts provided are open to interpretation and allow the seepage of unique and authentic displays of affection. I find that this posing approach makes for photos that evoke feelings of warmth and nostalgia. Lower stakes posing tends to make couples feel more at ease during their photography sessions as well.
Story telling is always a goal - especially when photographing couples. I tend to focus on capturing details and candid moments that best display the personalities I have gotten to know over the course of our session planning. Getting to know my clients is a process I have gained much appreciation for. Having a camera follow you for an hour is uncomfortable for most people and I love cultivating a comfortable environment so everyone can relax and be themselves.
I can’t wait to capture their wedding and am looking forward to taking on a more documentary style approach to photography in the future. Thank you for checking out my latest work! Feel free to stick around and peruse the site. Have a lovely day!
